About Us

Tri County was started in 1972 by a local couple, Gary and Linda Cosgrove making it the oldest air conditioning service company in Ventura County. It has been an icon in the Conejo Valley since then and has trained many of the best service technicians in the industry. In 1980 a fireplace division was added filling a great need. In 1999 Gary and Linda sold the company to a national consolidator called Blue Dot. In 2003, Ted and Janine Montoya who owned a neighboring Carrier Dealership were asked to purchase Tri County to recapture the family owned feeling that was lost during the corporate ownership. With a team of wonderful people they immediately went about sprucing up the image and efficiency of the now three decades old company. A new logo, showroom, trucks and customer service and computer tracking system were implemented and it was back to the quality our 10,000 loyal customers expected.

Today 85% of our business is repeat and referral. We have combined field experience of 150 years with over 50% of our technicians NATE certified. You may have seen one of them driving one of our fleet of 10 trucks around town (our trucks are everywhere!) We offer maintenance contracts, service on all makes and models and complimentary in home consultations with our experienced experts. We are known for our friendly and thorough manner of communication always educating our customers to help them make the best possible decisions for their home temperature and air quality issues. With a follow up phone call after each visit, we ensure your complete satisfaction to the very end.
